Pay Range: Starting at $60,928.50/year (Salary)

Hybrid: Two Days In-Person, Three Days Remote

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 830am-530pm

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

Are you passionate about being a great business partner? As NFM's HR Generalist I you will be responsible for resolving employee relations issues, maintaining fairness and consistency. You will also coach and counsel managers on employee issues. As our HR Generalist I, you will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Partner:- Coach managers and make recommendations on disciplinary issues based on NFM policies and applicable laws
  • Analyze: Conduct EEO, harassment and other types of investigations. Review termination documentation to ensure information and documentation to back-up discharge decisions is included
  • Manage: Effectively manage all ADA and FMLA to minimize litigation
  • Audit: Work with managers of high turnover departments to help identify reasons for the turnover and work together to reduce turnover/ increase retention
  • Assist: Coach managers on performance management issues. Review performance agreements and offer suggestions/feedback
  • Oversee: Send appropriate documentation to unemployment claims processor and attend hearings as necessary

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years combined employment and employee relations experience
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Ability to maintain confidential information
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • HRIS/database experience preferred
