Work You'll Do:

  • Set-up and operate a variety of machinery (Lathe, Mill, Saw, Core Drill, Hob) to blueprint specifications.
  • Responsible for the set-up and operation on a variety of machinery to produce a large assortment of parts or finishes, often of a complex nature. Must apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics and machining procedures.
  • Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production.

  • Must use job specific hand tools.
  • Read part drawing with sectional views.
  • Lift, position, and transport work piece with a hoist.
  • Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.
  • Recommend improvements for area product and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic math skills required
  • General computer skills;
  • knowledge and understanding of various measuring devices.
  • Familiar with what a blueprint is
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical school w/certificate is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Team:

A team of approximately 20 Machinists working during all 3 shifts.
