About This Role: |
This position provides legal advice to university administrators, faculty, staff and others on federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, and Regents and University policies and procedures. The successful candidate will provide timely, accessible, sound legal advice and representation to the university with a critical focus on highly complex and sensitive matters in the areas of labor and employment. In addition, the candidate may be responsible for providing legal advice regarding campus safety, research integrity, litigation, internal dispute resolution, depositions and/or mediations, conducting legal research, policy review and development, contract review and negotiation, legal presentations and training seminars, preparing correspondence and legal documentation and/or serving as a legal advisor to university campus boards and committees, and other duties concerning the full array of legal issues arising in the context of higher education.
