YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting IT Infrastructure Manager opportunity in our Merriam, KS office. The IT Infrastructure Manager a multifaceted role overseeing internal and vendor-managed IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, cloud platforms, and services. They manage operating systems, servers, hypervisors, storage, backup/recovery, and DBA services while maintaining contractual and operational vendor relationships for critical enterprise services like AS400, Active Directory, SQL Server, and M365. This role collaborates with IT leadership to ensure secure and highly available enterprise services are delivered that align with IT standards. The role works collaboratively with all areas of IT to strategically support the IT operating plan. The IT Infrastructure Manager must prioritize cost-effective disaster recovery and business continuity solutions within set budgets, including procurement and budget maintenance. The role and responsibilities of the role will adjust over time with strategic transformation of IT organizational function, size, geographic reach, or structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Arrange/direct departmental activities/schedules and provide technical expertise throughout the project methodology and problem resolution.
  • Provide stable server, storage, hypervisor, backup, and cloud platform environments throughout the organization and provide metrics to measure performance/capacity/availability and drive improvements.
  • Maintain a stable Microsoft tenant organization wide supporting multiple divisions for services that include but are not limited to Active Directory, M365, and other unified communication and collaboration solutions.
  • Manage Database Administration services and the accompanying support services.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, recommend, implement, and manage solutions to improve service and/or reduce cost of IT and/or business operations.
  • Selects and manages staff and contractors to execute the operational plan.
  • Supports all Cybersecurity directives to ensure the environment is hardened and protected from attacks.
  • Drive a focused culture through performance targets, one-on-ones, a clear engagement strategy, and regular performance review, ensuring optimal individual for each role, based on their skills and competencies. Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation, and appreciate team contribution.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in infrastructure technology for long term strategic solutions and inspire the team to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence.
  • Establish internal/external policies, standards, processes, and templates for working with internal IT teams and vendors, and create vendor contracts, performance, relationship, and risk management procedures.
  • Ensure there are clear metrics across all key performance indicators to ensure strong performance management and provide oversight to vendor audits when required.
  • Manage issues, risks and client expectations and escalate as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
  • Ability to understand and prioritize tasks and assign accordingly.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure technologies including networking, storage, and backups along with vendors in the space.
  • Basic understanding of Database Administration and ability to lead and focus a DBA team and services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership and management skills to guide a team.
  • Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate compromise solutions.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Programming preferred.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (CIS, NIS, PCI, etc) and IT management frameworks (ITIL, etc)
  • Working knowledge of a Information Security practices, standards, and systems (DLP, GRC, IAM, SIEM, VPN, etc)
  • Experience with launching and managing contractors, short term and long term services to provide support or project based work.
  • Experience in many of the following business processes required: process manufacturing, sales and marketing, supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics optimization and distribution, procurement and plant maintenance, food safety and quality assurance, breeding and animal welfare, environmental resource management, finance, etc.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: Food and Beverage, Livestock, Energy, etc.

SCHEDULE Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, Schedule can change based off business needs
