Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Research Intern.

In this role, the successful candidate The NYU Department of Pediatrics is seeking a student research intern to assist with research projects examining social determinants of health in early childhood and their impacts on long term growth and development. This internship opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a career in healthcare or public health. Individuals will receive compensation of $16-20 per hour for the duration of their internship reflective of training level.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Job Responsibilities

    • Engagement in content writing and literature reviews
    • Creating survey measures with RedCap
    • Data management
    • Recruitment and enrollment of study subjects

    • Professional Development:

    • Attend weekly meeting with supervisor, Dr. Carol Duh-Leong along with other relevant lectures, workshops, and training to expand your knowledge and network with professionals in the field.
    • Present your findings at conferences and research journals
    • Receive mentorship and guidance from faculty members and professionals in the field.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Strong desire to obtain knowledge in aspects of conducting clinical research. Student enrolled in a relevant field of study at an academic institution during the time they participate in the program. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal are a must. Quantitative/statistical, Spanish or Mandarin language skills are a bonus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.00 - $20.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
